The signing of a joint security cooperation document between Iran and Uzbekistan

Within the framework of the signing of this document, a wide range of intelligence and security cooperation has been initiated between the two countries, and meetings of the Joint Security Commission are held annually to evaluate the results of cooperation in Tehran and Tashkent.

NOURNEWS - This morning, on the first day of Admiral Ali Shamkhani's official visit to Uzbekistan, a document on the establishment of a joint security commission between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the capital Tashkent was signed by the secretaries of the two countries' National Security Council.

The document, signed by the Uzbek government by President Viktor Makhmudov, national security adviser to the President, paves the way for joint cooperation between Tehran and Tashkent in the fight against terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and other transnational organized crime.

Within the framework of the signing of this document, a wide range of intelligence and security cooperation has been initiated between the two countries, and meetings of the Joint Security Commission are held annually to evaluate the results of cooperation in Tehran and Tashkent.

Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, wrote about the importance of signing this document on his personal page in cyberspace: Activating regional capacities to create lasting stability is necessary for the development and promotion of regional cooperation policy in the thirteenth government.

Shamkhani stressed that the signing of the document establishing a joint security commission between the governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan is an important step towards increasing comprehensive relations between the two countries.
