The international community must pay attention to the roots of the Ukrainian crisis.

The strategy of the West to secure its interests in destroying other states and nations has become a constant practice the source of many crises and civil wars in different parts of the world.

NOURNEWS - The outbreak of a large-scale war between Russia and Ukraine in a short time since the beginning of the crisis resulted in the death and injury of a large number of troops on both sides and the displacement of large groups of Ukrainians.

The continuation of military operations in different parts of Ukraine and the development of the conflict in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, demonstrate the increasing complexity of the situation, and, accordingly, the increase in human losses and material damage.

Although war has never been an effective and acceptable solution to political problems, understanding the roots of the formation of the military conflict in this region can be instrumental in determining each side’s share in creating this crisis.

Usually in such crises the blame is always on the side that initiated the military action, which is logically acceptable, but the issue that received less attention in the recent crisis is the direct and comprehensive interventions of the West in this country and Ukrainian leaders' lack of competence and strategy that would prevent them from falling into the cycle of competition and conflict between the West and Russia

Russia's National Security Strategy defines the areas close to the country in which Ukraine is located as specific areas where any threat to Russia is a threat to national security and will be dealt with comprehensively.

After the collapse of the former Soviet Union, the West pledged to Moscow not to allow NATO to expand its proximity and commit to Moscow's security, but on the contrary, four new members joined NATO since the nineties, which poses a serious threat to Russia's security. And in recent months, despite warnings from Moscow, Ukraine's membership plan has been on NATO's agenda.

Meanwhile, Russia recently made security offers to the United States and Europe, but they effectively refused to respond to Russia's concerns and resorted to the language of threats and sanctions. Instead of learning from the past and taking an effective approach to resolving the crisis, they put forward a list of sanctions against Russian officials and economic resources.

The western side takes its decisions against Russia under the heading of anti-war measures, but at the same time, these measures ignore Russia's security and economic observations. Therefore, these measures will open a wider field for war and the Ukraine crisis will erupt more than before.

So to speak, the Western vision towards this crisis is similar to its previous approach of continuing to impose attrition warfare on other countries. The strategy of the West to reach its interests is to destroy the rest of the countries and peoples as a fixed path that will lead to the formation of more crises and devastating wars in the world.

This military confrontation comes at a time when we must be careful to look at the nature of the Western reaction to these events, after its nature became clearer than before.

In the current situation, European countries, the United States and NATO claim that they are working to solve the crisis and stop the fires of war, but their practical behavior shows the opposite.

The United States announced an immediate $600 million budget for Kiev, and France announced a $300 million European budget to aid Ukraine, along with arms shipments, which means the focus is on continuing the war, reflecting the West's plan to engage Ukraine in a protracted war.

According to Ukrainian President Zelensky, the West has officially turned its back on Ukraine and is not even ready to send a force to the country, only seeking to keep the crisis raging in the country with economic promises and weapons.

Another important point is the non-constructive and ineffective role of the United Nations, which, according to the UN Charter, is responsible for preventing war and mediating conflict resolution along with humanitarian aid, but the Ukrainian crisis has shown that it has no initiative or function to resolve the crisis. .

In addition to the above, a striking point is the persistence of a selective approach to human rights in areas of crisis and war. As the Western media and political circles focus these days on the civilian casualties in Ukraine with the aim of blaming Russia, while these media remained silent and even supported the aggressors during eight years of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the starvation of millions of Yemenis.

In Palestine, the same process was repeated, the 14-year blockade of Gaza was ignored, and the women and children killed during the Israeli aggression were ignored. Meanwhile, the United Nations in Afghanistan has reported 24 million people starving, including 13 million children, and the media has kept a deadly silence against it.

War is unacceptable anywhere in the world and certainly cannot be accepted as a viable solution to political and security crises.

The indifference of the international community to provocative actions and behavior, which is the root cause of military crises and devastating wars, can reinforce the causes of unintended crises such as the Ukraine war.

Concealing the destructive role of the West in igniting the Ukrainian war and using the media to provoke the feelings of the international community and conceal the causes of this crisis will not help solve its roots, but will complicate the situation and cause the continued loss of innocent lives and make their lives hostage to Western policies and strategies.
