Signs of American defeat in West Asia

The United States does not intend to leave the region, despite ongoing setbacks in West Asia, and is pursuing different approaches to survival. Of course, the analysis of the situation in the region shows that the United States will face the same fate as Britain in the Middle East in the coming years and will be forced to leave the region.

NOURNEWS -  A review of US military budgets over the years shows that Washington has spent about $ 8 trillion in West Asia since 2000, about 50 percent of which comes from US military presence in Afghanistan and Iraq.

But the question is, what are the most important reasons for the US presence in West Asia, which has imposed huge costs on its people in recent years?

The region's energy and important role in global security are the most important factors that motivate the United States to stay in the region.

Despite rising military spending and the deaths of more than 6,000 US troops in the Iraq-Afghanistan war alone, we continue to see the vain promises of Washington officials, including Trump, to withdraw its troops from West Asia.

A review of the US military presence in the region shows that the United States has not only failed to achieve its goals in the region, but has often acknowledged the failure and ineffectiveness of its policies in the region, despite the high costs in West Asia and the extensive military infrastructure.

On the other hand; Countries where the United States has a military presence are not happy about this situation. In Iraq, parliament and the government are calling for the withdrawal of US troops. The passage of the Iraqi parliament on January 6, last year, and the signing of 169 delegates on the basis for the expulsion of foreign troops is a major setback for Washington, which has its largest embassy in Iraq.

The United States also failed to achieve its goals in Afghanistan and was eventually forced to sign a peace agreement with the Taliban after 18 years of war and 18 months of negotiations. Political analysts see the announcement of US readiness to negotiate with the Taliban and the subsequent signing of the agreement by Washington as the most important sign of US defeat in Afghanistan.

The US situation in Syria is not good either. The recent remarks by US Special Representative for Syria James Jeffrey that Washington is not seeking the removal of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power are a good indication of the failure of US efforts to overthrow the Syrian government.

However; The United States does not intend to leave the region altogether, despite ongoing setbacks in West Asia, and seeks different approaches to survival. Of course, the analysis of the situation in the region shows that the United States will face the same fate as Britain in the Middle East in the coming years and will be forced to leave the region.
