Racism will sink any country given enough time

Whether a country is dominated by any particular religious orientation such as, for example, mostly Islamic Iran, or no particular faith at all except enlightened liberalism and “democracy”, strong adherence to principles of decency and respect for others is the sine qua non of civic health and ultimately national and even international success. In this regard, the U.S appears to be failing utterly.

NOURNEWS/NORTH CAROLINA - One does not have to burrow deep or look very far to realize, for however long it lasts, “America” is seeing its last years as a truly respected member of the community of nations. And what exists inside the U.S. now and has existed in various iterations for many decades must stand as a stark warning to the citizens of other nations to adopt inclusive policies and attitudes that include basic gender equality just as well as mutual respect between ethnic groups, religious groups and between rich and poor and everyone in between.

One does not have to look farther than, for example, a bit of film captured in Harrison, Arkansas, of a young white man standing on a street corner and holding a sign that simple read: Black Lives Matter. The young man was subjected to all kinds of verbal abuse from passers-by in cars, people flashing him the middle finger and more. Frankly, it’s a wonder that someone was smart enough to film the scene and maybe more of a wonder he was not shot or run over.

Granted, this town is in the Deep South of the U.S., a region not noted for enlightened racial attitudes among “average” Caucasians, and Harrison itself happens a center of white supremacist views and is the location of the national headquarters of the Ku Klux Klan, a notorious organization that sprang up after the Civil War in the U.S. in the 1860s that harbored the worst rejectionists of the primary cause of the civil war  –  a war devoted by President Abraham Lincoln to the abolishment of slavery and Black repression and inequality. President Lincoln’s noble aim was obviously a more perfect union of ALL people living inside the U.S. and an end to racism, which remains just as rampant among some Americans as it ever was, and which has caused untold suffering and strife for well over a century. It is always the extremists, including many of Harrison’s citizens, who often stand out the most and represent the worst elements of a society in steep decline. But this small town in Arkansas, while it has a horrible reputation, is hardly much different than many others in other regions of the U.S.

There is no question that Donald Trump and the people, including some in his Administration, who have given him support have emboldened organizations like the KKK, small though it may be. The KKK is in fact a “terrorist” entity inside the U.S.

This can easily occur when politicians like Trump and other “leaders” simply fail to condemn and prosecute roundly and continuously all forms of racism and uphold laws and legislation to help obviate it. The “Make America Great Again” meme, emblazoned on red hats worn by Trump enthusiasts at his rallies, is in fact partially a racist meme because many who champion the slogan literally believe that social and economic ills in the U.S. are a result of Blacks and other minorities like Hispanics and Asians (Muslim or not) having gained a stronger foothold in society, especially since the 1960s when President Lyndon Johnson erected his “Great Society” programs.

And it’s no secret that today some of America’s strongest alleged allies are themselves racist societies. One only has to look at Apartheid “Israel”, which has been dominating and controlling U.S. foreign policies in the Middle East. This is not to say that all Israelis are racist, but the worst among Israelis – the so-called colonialist “settlers” in the West Bank -- happen to be driving the government there under Gantz and Netanyahu, and others of similar mentalities before them all the way back to Menachem Begin’s era at least. These people constitute extremists who are the core of Likud’s political support and maintenance. Israel is not alone, however. The Saudis are not much better in the Middle East and the Wahhabi doctrines are extremely repressive, too.

It is anyway a given that countries like Israel as they have been cannot survive, and the U.S. looks increasingly like a “failed state” to be, too. History has demonstrated that countries that rely almost exclusively on the application of military might and coercion do not ultimately survive, and their demise benefits the world at large at least marginally as examples of what not to be or become. The question in the case of countries like the U.S. during this century and Israel is whether they can properly change, because if they cannot, being nuclear powers, they could bring down the entire world in their death throes.

Iran seems to be the most distinctive country that has for decades stood consistently against the Anglo-American-Zionist axis of murder and mayhem in the Middle East. If Iran were ever “conquered” (and it will never be really) the entire region, with U.S. support and similar postures, would be under the control of a monster called Zionism, which for 100 years has been almost unmatched relatively for its parasitism, greed, vulgarity and calculated cruelty.
