NOURNEWS - David M. Satterfield, the US ambassador to Ankara, Stated that relations between Turkey and the United States are strong. He added that Washington considers the alliance with Ankara as one of its most important alliances in the region.
In an interview with Anatolia News Agency, Satterfield said that Turkey had sent two planes full of medical equipment to the United States in April. He implied that the White House and the State Department had thanked the Turkish government for its action.
The US ambassador stated that 400 American citizens residing in Turkey have returned to the United States. He added that the move was in line with co-operation between the two countries to prevent the coronaviruse outbreak.
