Lebanon quarantined for four days

The Lebanese government will re-quarantine the country for four days to prevent a second wave of coronavirus from starting.

NOURNEWS- The Lebanese government has decided to extend quarantine in the country for another four days from Wednesday, after reducing some of the restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of corona, Reuters reported.

Since mid-March, the Lebanese government has announced in the country quarantine that it has eased some restrictions by reopening restaurants, beauty salons and more.

So far, 870 cases of corona and 26 deaths have been reported in Lebanon.

On Tuesday, the Lebanese government's cabinet agreed to quarantine for another four days to prevent the second wave of coronavirus from spreading in the country due to the reduction of some restrictions in recent days.

Lebanese Information Minister Manal Abdul Samad said that in these four days, supermarkets and pharmacies will remain open and teams from the Ministry of Health will conduct more tests.

He added that during this period, the government is re-evaluating its five-step plan to reopen economic sectors and return to normal life.

Beirut Airport has been closed for almost two months.

In the quarantine, which includes night and day curfews, security forces will patrol some streets.
