In this meeting, the Minister of Defense of Mali, while expressing his satisfaction with his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated that the purpose of his visit was to expand and strengthen the relations between the two countries and then he added: "The nation and the government of Mali are trying to take over the sovereignty and security of their country, and the Islamic Republic of Iran is a model." Referring to the experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fight against terrorism, as well as popular mobilization and people's participation in ensuring their own security, he asked to use the experiences of Iran.
