The agenda for the upcoming Vienna meeting and the requirements to get out of the impasse

The Vienna Summit is an arena for testing the P4 + 1's ability to fully understand the need to change the existing impasse and then persuade the United States to meet its legal obligations, especially the immediate and complete lifting of sanctions.

NOURNEWS -  Following the quarterly meetings of the Joint Commission of the Council, the next meeting of the Commission is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in the presence of the representative of Iran and the P4 + 1 members in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
The announcement of the meeting, the initial meeting of which was held virtually last Friday, has been marginalized due to some false allegations made by the Western media.
In this regard, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Foreign Minister and Representative of our country in these talks, today rejected some suspicions raised by the Western media about Iran's indirect dialogue with the United States and said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the return of all parties to JCPOA's commitments will only discuss with the JCPOA Joint Commission (4 + 1) and we will not have any direct or indirect negotiations or talks with the United States. At this meeting, we will announce our proposed frameworks to the P4 + 1 based on the policies announced by the Supreme Leader,"
According to this, it is clear that the Vienna meeting on Tuesday was not an extraordinary meeting but a regular meeting following the previous meetings of the Joint Commission, which is held once every three months.
The point is that; As has been explicitly stated by the Iranian authorities before, Iran's conditions for our country to return to its obligations are nothing more than the complete and one-step lifting of US sanctions and then its verification by Iran.
It is very clear that if the Joint Commission of JCPOA (P4 + 1) succeeds in convincing the United States in any way it sees fit within the framework of Iran, which is at the forefront of lifting sanctions, Iran will return to its commitments after verification.
Naturally, if the cases announced by Iran, which are entirely based on legal and technical principles, are not realized, the current situation will not change and Tehran will continue its desired path without any haste.
Based on the clear and uninterpretable principles announced by Iran, all sanctions that have been re-imposed or re-imposed after the withdrawal of the United States from JCPOA, or in any case their label has been changed, must be lifted so that the United States can return to JCPOA.
Although some media outlets have unreasonably speculated that the agenda of Tuesday's meeting in Vienna was a step-by-step process, the Deputy Foreign Minister, who is chairing the Iranian delegation to the Vienna talks, has explicitly stated that the Islamic Republic does not accept a step-by-step approach. Therefore, there is no need to achieve any roadmap in this regard.
Given the numerous comments made by Western officials about the need to extend the JCPOA talks to extraterrestrial issues, including Iran's missile programs and regional policies, some speculation about the possibility of discussing extrajudicial issues at the Vienna summit has also been raised by some media in recent days.
A source close to the Iranian negotiating team at the Vienna meeting told Nornews: "The agenda of Tuesday's talks between Iran and the P4 + 1 is only technical (legal) talks on how to fulfill the commitments of the parties and their verification, and not even any talks about JCPOA itself will not take place.
Accordingly, no negotiations will take place on post-conflict issues. Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly stated its unchangeable policy of non-negotiation on post-conflict issues in a formal and transparent manner.
Given the requirements announced by Iran to return to its final commitments, it seems that the Vienna Summit should be seen as an arena for testing the P4 + 1's ability to fully understand the need to change the existing impasse, and if the P4 + 1 in any way It can be hoped that it will be able to persuade the United States to fulfill its legal obligations, especially the immediate and complete lifting of sanctions.
If the United States acts conscientiously, it will have to meet all of its 1,600 sanctions, meet its obligations, and remove obstacles to resolving the current situation by fulfilling the requirements mentioned above, Iran has assured that it will return to its obligations after the verification.
