Explanatory Statement of the Secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council:
Today, the 3rd of Khordad 1400 ( 24th of May 2021), the quarterly opportunity regarding the storage of data of surveillance cameras installed in Iran's nuclear facilities ends.
The Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes on the continued suspension of the voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol by Iran in accordance with the Law "Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions and Protect the Interests of the Iranian Nation" on how to continue work after the expiration of the previous agreement with International Atomic Energy Agency decided; "Due to the ongoing technical negotiations on the settlement of safeguards issues between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, which is in parallel with the Vienna talks, the monitoring of surveillance camera data will continue for one month from 24th of May 2021." In this way, the necessary opportunity is provided for the progress and conclusion of the negotiations.
