NOURNEWS - The commander of the Lebanese army warned: We stand against the coup or the suspension of the constitution.
"We do not allow any coup or suspension of the constitution in this country, and we consider it incompatible with the nature of Lebanon," said General Joseph Aoun.
He said: to solve the country's crisis, only legal and political mechanisms and solutions should be used.
Joseph Aoun stated: I do not aspire to achieve any position, including the president, and everything that is said in this regard is an illusion and fantasy.
He added: "My relations with the president, the speaker of the parliament and the resigned prime minister (Hassan Diab) are done within the framework of their position.
