NOURNEWS - The fifth so-called two-day meeting in support of Syria was held in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday last week, but the Syrian Foreign Ministry opposed it, saying: "Due to the absence of the Damascus government, the positions of these show meetings have no legitimacy and are illegal.
On the other hand, the countries participating in the meeting pledged to provide multibillion-euro support to Syria, while similar commitments had been made four times in four consecutive years, all of which remained a mere claim.
But why do these meetings not help resolve the Syrian crisis?
First; The United States, Europeans and Arab countries, as the main participants in these meetings, claim to help the Syrian people, who are themselves the main factor in creating and supporting terrorist groups.
The same deceptive behavior can be seen towards Yemen, which has been killing the Yemeni people for 6 years and holds a meeting every year claiming to help Yemen, which results in an intensification of the attacks on Yemen!
Second; These meetings are being held in the name of Syria, in which the Syrian government headed by Bashar al-Assad has no role, while the Syrian regime is legitimate based on the people's vote, so not inviting the Syrian government while the armed currents are present, is an indication of its political nature.
Third; The meetings are being held at the same time as the United States is imposing sanctions on Caesar and Europe is imposing multi-layered sanctions on the Syrian people, claiming to raise funds for the Syrian people.
This becomes even clearer when we know that not only the collected aid reaches the terrorists, but also the same Western countries that sabotage the return of the Syrian refugees to their country.
Fourth; The West claims to support the stability of Syria while simultaneously imposing sanctions and pressure on genuine Syrian supporters and terrorist fighters, as evidenced by the actions taken against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and resistance groups in the region.
The US assassination of its resistance commanders is a testament to the West's critical behavior, which continued not only under Trump but also under Biden.
Interestingly; The Iran-Russia-Turkey-initiated Astana process to resolve the Syrian crisis has not only not been supported by the West, but has been accompanied by widespread sabotage, including inciting Turkey to occupy Syria.
According to this, the Brussels summits can be seen as a blatant deception to justify the continuation of crisis interventions against Syria because if the West really seeks to resolve the Syrian crisis, it has no choice but to accept simple solutions such as ending support for terrorists, lifting sanctions against the country and accepting legitimacy of the Syrian government and refusal to act against the real supporters of Syria, the Resistance Front.
It is clear that holding false meetings like Brussels only seeks to deceive public opinion and hide the critical role of the West and its allies in Syria and the whole region, which has so far resulted in nothing but the strengthening of terrorism in the region and the world and represents this reality that the only way to achieve security in the region is for foreigners to leave West Asia.
