NOURNEWS - Lyndall Sachs, Australia's ambassador to Iran, said on Tuesday (August 5th) that she had met "Moore-Gilbert" in Qarchak prison in Varamin and that she was fine.
"Dr. Moore Gilbert is OK and has access to food, medical supplies and books," the Australian State Department said in a statement.
The Gilbert family has said they are relieved after the Australian ambassador met with Kylie Moore in prison.
Moore Gilbert was sentenced by the Revolutionary Court to ten years in prison for espionage and is currently serving her sentence.
Earlier, some Western media reported that her condition was deteriorating by creating an atmosphere about the Australian prisoner's condition.
