United States is Forefront of the World's Spending on Building Nuclear Weapons

Statistics released by South Korea's Yonhap News Agency show that the United States is at the forefront of the world's spending on building nuclear weapons.

NOURNEWS - The United States spent $ 35 billion and $ 400 million in 2019 on nuclear weapons, more than any other country in the world, Yonhap reported on Tuesday.

The report comes as the United States has accused North Korea of the most serious threats in decades over its nuclear weapons program.

The news agency quotes the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates Organization, which won the Nobel Peace Prize, as they wrote that in 2019 North Korea has spent $ 620 million to build nuclear weapons.

Accordingly, North Korea has allocated about 35% of its GDP growth in 2019 for military purposes.

North Korea has 35 nuclear weapons and is working on nuclear missiles capable of launching from the ground and from submarine, according to the report.

The organization estimates that in 2019, China will have the highest cost of building nuclear weapons after the United States, with $ 10.4 billion, and followed by the United Kingdom with $ 8.9 billion.

Last year, a total of $ 72 billion and $ 900 million was spent on the production of these weapons worldwide, which is $ 7 billion and $ 100 million more than in 2018.
