NOURNEWS- On the occasion of Quds Week, announced by clerics and cultural activists in the Republic of Azerbaijan, a seminar entitled "The Fall of the Zionist Regime and the Future of Quds" was held. In this seminar, Nasser Abu Sharif, a representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, spoke via cyberspace to the Muslim and freedom-loving people of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Abu Sharif, a representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said in the speech: "The Palestinian nation is a nation with spirit and struggle and they are always looking for the liberation of their occupied lands and they have never been tired of this motivation."
The representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad added: "We recognize the Azerbaijani nation as a resilient and Islamic nation and from here I offer to the people of Azerbaijan that if you support the people and the land of Palestine, Palestine and its people will support you in the future."
Abu Sharif continued: "All Muslims in the world are trying to liberate the land of Palestine, and we do not see the role of the Azerbaijani people in the liberation of Jerusalem."
He added: "Quds was originally the first qibla of Muslims and now it is considered their political qibla. If we do not consider Quds as a direction, we will lose the way and the unity of Muslims will be lost." Wherever Hajj Qasim was, his ultimate goal was holy Quds. If he was in Iraq, he would think of Jerusalem. If he was in Syria, he would think of Jerusalem, and wherever he was in Islamic countries, his last goal was the liberation of Jerusalem.
The representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, while recognizing the introduction of a week as Quds Week in Azerbaijan, said: "If Imam Khomeini announced Quds Day, it would be a secret and a code that we think about the liberation of Quds all year round, not on a specific day."
Referring to the occupation of the land of Palestine, Abu Sharif continued: Qarabagh is also occupied like Palestine. We have a common pain, and this land is occupied by non-Muslims, and the power of domination helps the occupiers. This land, which is the land of Islam and belongs to Azerbaijan and the right of the Azerbaijani people, has taken over, and we have the same common pain in Palestine. Which is occupied by the domination of our land. We believe that Qarabagh is the land of Islam and belongs to Azerbaijan and its people, and it must return to the body of Azerbaijan and the Azeris live there, and we in Qarabagh cannot accept non-Azerbaijanis.
The representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad added: "In the Nagorno-Karabakh war, we Palestinians have always pursued this issue, and the Palestinian people have supported Azerbaijan in this war and have done their best to help the Azerbaijani people. Now that our ceasefire has been declared." We don't hear about Nagorno-Karabakh, and because we don't see any action, so we can't help liberating Nagorno-Karabakh, and because of this enemy it wants to divide us, the Palestinians and the Azeris.
In the end, Abu Sharif said: "We supported the people of Azerbaijan during the war, and now we are saying that the Azerbaijani people must regain their rights."
